Ana Jakimska
North Macedonia

 



Ana Jakimska is a film director and writer based in Skopje, North Macedonia. Her professional debut is the short film titled The Children Will Come, which won the Best Live-Action Short Nomination at the Shanghai International Film Festival in 2017, and was screened and awarded worldwide.
Her filmography includes two more live-action shorts, It's Cold Outside (2014) and Neon Hearts (2019), as well as one short documentary, Call me Barbara (2013). Currently, she is developing her first feature film Midnight Train. Jakimska is an alumna of Talents Sarajevo, MIDPOINT Script Development Program, and First Films First Young Director's Academy. She is the co-founder of Suteren, a media production company based in Skopje





Mirza Ramic
Bosnia - USA - Germany

 


Mirza Ramic is a Bosnian-born, Berlin-based artist. Born in Mostar, Bosnia & Herzegovina and spending most of his adult life in Boston, USA, Mirza received his Bachelor's degree in political science from Bowdoin College and pursued his Master's degree in international relations from The Fletcher School (Tufts University). He co-founded the electronic music duo Arms and Sleepers in 2006, which has amassed over 30 releases, nearly 2,000 live performances, and countless TV and Film music placements in their 15-year history. In 2019, Mirza debuted his solo music project Saigon Would Be Seoul and released the short documentary film 'To Tell A Ghost' which deals with his Bosnian roots. Mirza is also a co-founder of two music labels, Future Archive Recordings and {int}erpret null, as well as a co-founder of an online magazine under the artist umbrella DXFXWXU Collective.

Ricardo Mbarkho
Lebanon

 


Ricardo Mbarkho is a Lebanese artist, director, researcher, and assistant professor. In his work, he investigates the transformation of cultural industries into creative industries in the digitalization age. His artworks and lectures are presented in prestigious art events in Lebanon and abroad. Ricardo Mbarkho received his Diplomas from University of Paris 13 (PhD), Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts de Paris and Ecole Supérieure d’Etudes Cinématographiques, France, and from Institute of Fine Arts - Lebanese University, Lebanon. He also completed an exchange study program at Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh, PA, USA. He is represented by Mark Hachem gallery.
